Thank you to all who attended my miniature demo and I hope you enjoyed it and walked out learning something. As always, it was wonderful to meet old friends, make new ones, see my fellow vendors, talk and meet our awesome customers and all around have a good time. I’d like to thank the show directors, staff, and volunteers for making this another incredible show. All three will be available at the show.Īs we are attending WonderFest, any orders placed between May 28th and June 4th will ship when we return.įiled In: Contests, Conventions Another WonderFest has come and gone. When we return from the show, we will be releasing our Opaque version of the Nene Thomas line Jewel Bust as well as two accessory figures. This is a one-hour demo that will cover an overview of the most common miniature painting techniques, tips and tricks and an in-depth demonstration on painting easy eyes on miniatures. I will also be doing “Mighty Minis Part II” on Saturday. This year we are sponsoring Best Little Hottie (best small scale entry) and Best Master Class (for the best entry from past Best of Show winners). The contest has some extremely nice trophies and prizes and of the awards are given via public vote. Please note that while this is an adult contest, it is respectful and no violence towards women, obscenity, etc are allowed. This has grown to allow not just nude (female and male) figures but also non nudes figures and some entries from folks who could not attend both days of the show and enter the main contest. It was started so that modelers could display figures that had once been allowed in the main contest but (due to nudity) are no longer allowed. This is an unofficial, attendee-run, ADULT modeling contest. WonderFest also has quite a few fun after-hours activities and one of my favorites is the Naked Resin Attack. This is a shot of last years crystal trophy. Please make sure you mark your entries as by a Junior on the entry sheet! The winner here will also get a lovely crystal trophy and $150.00 in figures. With a lovely crystal trophy and $150.00 in figures So this year Morland Studios is sponsoring: Last year, they had so many wonderful models and, being blown away by the quality of the junior miniatures, inspired us to offer a second sponsored award. Their modeling contest is extremely large (743 entries last year!) and always has a large amount of miniature entries. The modeling aspect covers Sci-Fi, Horror, Fantasy, Miniatures, props, etc.
